“Approximately 20 people die every day waiting for an organ transplant. Now, researchers at Harvard have used a 3D printer to construct human tissue that includes rudimentary blood vessels. As the technology improves, the advance could prove a critical link in printing fully functioning kidneys—which currently represent 80 percent of all organ transplants.”
